Equity Research
Equity Research is a key part of the firm’s successful equity franchise. Equity Research analysts work with internal sales, trading, and banking partners to leverage their industry expertise and company knowledge into stock recommendations and revenue generating ideas for the firm. Each Equity Research senior analyst focuses on one industry or one portion of an industry, covering anywhere from 15-35 companies. Key clients include large mutual funds and a variety of hedge funds.
Credit Research
Credit Research is a sell-side research function that focuses on movements and trends in the corporate debt market. Each Credit Research senior analyst focuses on one or more industries, comprising anywhere from 30-70 companies. Analysts use knowledge of the industry, the companies and the fixed income market to issue bond and credit derivative recommendations. Key clients include internal sales and trading partners, and institutional investors such as mutual funds, hedge funds and insurance companies.
Corporate Quantitative Research
Corporate Quantitative Research analysts perform analysis to develop relative-value trade ideas for clients and internal trading desks. This typically includes equity derivatives, credit derivatives and cross-asset products.
Credit Portfolio Group Research
Credit Portfolio Research analysts actively manage J.P. Morgan's retained risk portfolio, including commercial loans and credit risk associated with derivative counterparty exposure. The group's objective is to maximize return on capital by providing independent credit analysis on the companies and industries to which the firm has exposure.
