Our interdisciplinary training programs are designed to be current, practical, and aligned with the IB’s business priorities.  You will emerge with a broad base of cross-product and cross-asset knowledge, as well as a range of highly transferable professional skills.

J.P. Morgan’s training programs are distinguished by extensive business engagement with IB professionals actively involved in training design and instruction on a global basis.  This means you will learn about the work we do from the people who actually do it. And, because our programs host Analysts from around the globe together in New York, you will be able to build an extensive global network of friends and colleagues right from the start.

Program descriptions:

• The Global Investment Banking program gives Analysts who will be working in investment banking, debt/equity origination or corporate banking the technical skills they need to succeed
• The Global Sales & Trading program gives Analysts an understanding of product and market concepts, mechanics and applications
• The Global Research program provides Analysts with the technical skills needed to succeed in equity and credit research businesses
• The Asset Management programs provide Analysts with an understanding of products and services for private wealth and investment management clients.

All programs provide a challenging and interactive learning process that utilizes tools such as case studies, team exercises, and trading simulations. You will master the relevant core skills, such as accounting, financial modeling, valuation, and credit analysis, along with professional skills, such as business communication and selling skills.

Our team approach encourages you to work in groups to solve problems and develop the skills you will carry with you wherever you go in the firm. We focus on you as an individual and provide on-site tutoring to help you master the course material and connect what you're learning to day-to-day work life. Tutors also serve as informal mentors throughout the training program.

Ample networking events provide you with opportunities to meet and connect with peers and senior executives who will be important to you throughout your career. By the end of your program, you will have gained an understanding of the strength of the firm's global platform. Not a business major?

J.P. Morgan hires liberal arts majors as well as those with a more traditional finance or business background. For that reason, we offer pre-training coursework for liberal arts trainees; and for certain programs, we hold “boot camp” sessions that give you the opportunity to catch up with your business-major colleagues on some of the fundamentals prior to starting the core training program. Of course, a good aptitude for numbers and a passion  for our business are still essential prerequisites.
