We believe that joining J.P. Morgan is the most challenging and rewarding career choice a talented graduate can make.

Over the last 170 years, we have developed into a global leader, providing world-class service to institutions, high net worth individuals, and retail investors. Morgan, which means an exciting environment for undergraduates who are interested in financial markets and working closely with our clients.

About Asset Management

We provide investment and wealth management solutions to institutional, retail and high net worth investors and their advisors. Our growth and success stem from our ability to draw from our global firm-wide platform. In Investment Management, our investment professionals across the globe provide over 210 strategies for equity, multi-asset, fixed income, currency, real estate, hedge funds, and private equity assets. In the Private Bank and Private Wealth Management, we offer our clients tailored financial solutions that factor in virtually all markets, regions and industry considerations. What does this all mean? It means that you will have an opportunity to develop and sharpen a broader set of investment, financial and client management skills than anywhere else.

The magnitude of an Analyst's job

You will have an extraordinary opportunity to experience Asset Management at J.P. Morgan and make a personal impact right from the start. After orientation, you will be immersed in on-the-job training and networking opportunities that will continue throughout your career.

As an Analyst in Asset Management, your role will often take you outside of departmental boundaries, working with portfolio managers, private bankers, client advisors, global investment specialists, or traders. You can also expect to interact with many other professionals, such as heads of business groups, marketing teams, and product specialists.

So, whether you're building financial models or conducting research on individual firms in Investment Management, assisting with product development in derivatives in the Private Bank or working on portfolio construction in Private Wealth Management, you will be working with outstanding colleagues and senior people to deliver top-notch solutions.

Training and development

Each day, the people that make up our Asset Management teams must execute their jobs flawlessly, whether charged with evaluating investments, analyzing risk or interacting with clients. Developing an in-depth understanding of world financial markets and economic activity is key. Why? Because developing exactly the right solution for each client requires an in-depth understanding of the scope and breadth of the many financial opportunities available to them.

Career paths

The depth and breadth of our Asset Management business ensures a wide range of possible career paths. You may start off as an Analyst on the fixed income team and realize that you enjoy that type of fundamental analysis but want to see the equity side of the business. You can leverage your experience to join the Equity Research Group. From there, you will gain valuable exposure to the equity markets and may later decide you'd like to work closely with clients in the Private Bank. The possibilities are endless.
