Internships for freshmen and sophomores

Who says you have to be a rising senior to spend a summer at J.P. Morgan? Not us. We welcome rising sophomores and juniors.

You know you are good, now prove yourself among the best.

If you are currently a freshman or sophomore in college, have strong academic qualifications and think you might like to work in Investment Banking, Sales & Trading or Research, spend the summer at J.P. Morgan and find out.

Get a head start

In addition to internships for juniors, we offer a ten-week Summer Analyst opportunity in New York designed for exceptional college freshmen and sophomores who have a minimum 3.5 GPA and are able to demonstrate how they add to the diversity of J.P. Morgan.

You will work on the same projects and be given the same opportunities as rising senior Summer Analysts, plus we host professional development events and networking opportunities especially designed for you. Internships are available in Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, and Research, and will prepare you for possible future internships with J.P. Morgan and future full-time employment with the firm.

As a Summer Analyst, you will have the opportunity to start your own professional network with other interns, colleagues and senior managers. You will be invited to senior manager lunches, receptions, presentations on the firm's businesses, sports games, and tons of other exciting events.

Training and development

You will have the same training opportunities as the rising senior Summer Analysts. You will receive the training and tools you need to succeed. And, we assign junior and senior-level mentors to every student who is offered a summer internship.

What we are looking for
