Euroweek names J.P. Morgan the ‘Most Impressive Bank’
J.P. Morgan has been named the ‘Most Impressive Bank’ by over 100 leading international bond issuers polled in Euroweek’s annual year end survey. Euroweek is a weekly publication for the global capital markets.
Commenting on the award, Michael Ridley, global head of syndicate at J.P. Morgan, said: “Euroweek’s award for the ‘Most Impressive Bank’, coming as it does from the leading bond issuers in the world, speaks to J.P. Morgan’s first-class franchise in the debt capital markets. It is a testament to the firm’s consistent ability to meet and exceed the needs of its clients in the structuring, underwriting, distribution and secondary trading of their international bond issues.”
In its coverage of the award, Euroweek’s editors praised J.P. Morgan for performing: “consistently well over the year for all borrower groups, including sovereigns, supranationals and agencies, financial institutions and corporates” and commented that the firm is also “particularly strong in subordinated FIG where it ranks top in Dealogic’s league tables.”
Not only has J.P. Morgan been voted as the ‘Best Overall Bank’ by borrowers, the firm has also been voted the ‘Strongest Bank in the Primary Bond Market’; the ‘Most Impressive Bank in U.S. Dollars’; the ‘Most Competitive and Aggressive on Pricing’; and the ‘Best Provider of Support in the Secondary Market.'
In an interview with Euroweek’s editors, an unnamed funding official concluded: “J.P. Morgan gives us total focus. They have provided us with good, aggressive hedges and they have performed well for us in all markets. When they say they can do something, they do it. We trust them totally.”
